Responsible business

Finnish Business & Society ry (FiBS) is a socially responsible enterprise network and non-profit organization. Its mission is to promote financially, socially and ecologically sustainable business in Finland. UniCafe, as a part of the HYY Group, is a member of FiBS.

UniCafe is a member of the Zero Accident Forum. Our aim is to become a champion of occupational safety. Health and safety are worthwhile considerations in the workplace.

We at UniCafe want to help our customers to watch their consumption of salt and fat in their diet. Every day in our cafeterias, we offer a healthy choice lunch dish that meets the criteria for this heart symbol.

With help from the WWF’s Green Office, UniCafe (part of the HYY Group) aims to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, to conserve resources and reduce the rate of climate change.

Promoting employment opportunities for young people from immigrant backgrounds is part of our corporate social responsibility policy. UniCafe participates in the Finnish Children and Youth Foundation’s OK! project.

Oy UniCafe Ab was awarded an ISO 9001:2008 quality standard certificate on October 1, 2009. Our certification was issued by Bureau Veritas. We aim to achieve continuous improvement in our food services through our quality management system.
